Q. What attracted EDP to enter Client Choice Awards?

With only a year under our belts, we had not obtained formal and independent client feedback for our business, and the Client Choice Awards provided both the opportunity and means to obtain client feedback, and also to test our commitment of client outcomes in a competitive environment.

Q. How did you find the process and how useful and actionable was the feedback you received from clients?

The process was very simple and easy to be part of. The client feedback was targeted around specific areas of our service, so we were able to review for trends and fine-tune our systems.

Q. Were you actively collecting and using client feedback prior to entering Client Choice Awards? If yes, what method(s) were used and to what purpose was the feedback put?

No. As mentioned above, EDP is a relatively young firm and the key focus has been getting out there and delivering for our clients. Any feedback collected before entering the awards was ad-hoc and unstructured.

Q. What benefits has taking part in Client Choice Awards brought your firm?

Keeping our clients front of mind and their needs and successes part of our everyday processes. The process also aided in maintaining communication with clients too which is very valuable.

Q. What would you say to other firms in the Built & Natural Environment Consulting space who may be on the fence about taking part?

There is no reason not to be part of it, particularly if you don’t have a formal and unbiased means of obtaining client feedback in place already.
