Beaton is proud to announce Westpac as the principal partner across all categories of the 2024 Client Choice Awards.

As a trusted name in Australian banking and professional services, Westpac shares many core values aligning with Beaton and the awards. Both organisations place high value on client care, building strong personal relationships, and gathering feedback alongside market research to make informed decisions for their clients.

“Customer feedback is crucial to the Professional Services team at Westpac driven by our internal Net Promoter Score program,” said Paul Goessler, National Head of Professional and Business Services at Westpac.

The Client Choice Awards are the only professional services awards in the world that determine winning firms by clients’ feedback, rather than the opinions of industry experts or panels. Goessler said this unique process was a factor in Westpac’s decision to partner with Beaton.

“There are many awards and opportunities for recognition as individuals and firms in professional services. However, the Beaton Client Choice Awards’ methodology to select the best of the best in each category is extremely robust and fair, hence the heightened value participants and the industry place on winning the award,” Mr Goessler said.

Executive Chairman of Beaton, Dr George Beaton, said he was very pleased to welcome Westpac as a partner on what could be a record year for the awards.

“We’ve had a positive trajectory of entrant numbers year on year, and all indications show that will continue and may even be accelerating. 2024 is going to be the biggest ever, in terms of number of entrants,” Dr Beaton said.

The year 2024 is a significant occasion as it represents the 20th anniversary of the Client Choice Awards. Westpac rejoins as a partner having been one of the earliest supporters of the awards and having maintained close ties with Beaton and the professional services industry. The renewed partnership will not only focus on awards but extend to Beaton and Westpac collaborating to host future thought leadership events relevant to the professional services and banking markets.

For the first time in 2024, the Client Choice Awards will also add new questions measuring perceived trust in firms. The 20th year thus heralds a new era of benchmarking that aligns with modern client expectations that their advisors conduct business with ethics and integrity.

“Amid recent news in consulting and banking, we think trust will be a critical area for the success of both banks and professional services firms,” said Dr Beaton.
